Experience Petaluma

A popular choice of filmmakers for it's quaint "Americana" style, and located near the dramatic Sonoma coastline, wineries, majestic redwoods and the Petaluma River, this thriving town offers something for everyone. Rich in history, Petaluma has had many names over the years. From the language of native Americans in the area more than 5,000 years ago, Petaluma means "Valley of the Little Hills," or 'City of Little Hills". Over the years it has also been known as "One of California's Largest Cities" (during the 1860s), it then earned the distinction of the "World's Egg Basket" (especially during the depression when meat was scarce across America), then it received the moniker of "Telecom Valley".

A picturesque town brimming with village character and unique charm, Petaluma offers its residents the experience of a soothing refuge from the bustle of nearby San Francisco. Quality essentials are anchored throughout the town, providing good schools, fine dining and shopping, as well as a host of services designed to make life easier.
